So Yeah,

Here i am sitting in a starbucks very close to central park! (sorry there is no central perk that i have found lol)

New York is cool, i still feel strange being here cos its like New York! I dont do New York I do Stirling and maybe Glasgow! I am getting used to it though which is kind of bad cos i have to leave in three days!

So since i arrived in NY i have been up to many things. I arrived on friday, and met Mike, the boyfriend of the friend i am staying with in a Starbucks in NYU, then we went to the appartment and Mariah came back from her nannying job. The next day we slept in and i went to the Natural History museum, it was really interesting for two main reasons: The life size-ish replica of a Blue Whale and the cool imax film i saw about the ocean!

Then kate came to meet me, we hung out in a strbucks for a while till we met Mariah and then we went to the appartment and had ice cream whilst watching scrubs. The next two days were spent with my Auntie Dorothy and Laura, it was nice to see them. We went speedboating on the Hudson the first day and Did china town, the next day we did some shopping and the Jewish Heritage Museum and also went up the Empire State Building where we saw the Australian P.M.!!!

Then yesterday i visited Ithaca where my co counsellor goes to cornell universtiy. ITs a lovely place and i think the campus may e bigger than St Andrews itself.It was great to see Matt again, although it was only a short visit. He has made many nice friends there!

So I arrived back in NY today and read fora few hours in Central Park and thencame here. I have three more days left, i Plan to go back to the Met museum to see an exhibit on Medicine, and see the statue ofliberty and take the staten island ferry. I also want to go to the Apple store to see the tiny Ipod Nano!

Anywho I fly back soon, so i will see y'all who go to St Andews very soon, and the rest of you take heart as i will no longer be an ocean away!!!

Hi Guys,

So here I am halfway through my penultimate week in the US. It feels weird to be leaving so soon.

Right now i am in Dallas Fortworth Airport, my flight has been delayed and i am watching a bunch of troops come through the security gates no doubt headed for the disaster area in New Orleans or Iraq, i think the former to be more likely.

Dallas has been great! My dad will be happy as i have done the sixth floor museum stuff (its the one about the Kennedy assasination). I am happy as i have seen sarah a good friend from last year who will not be returning to St Andrews. It was sad leaving today as last time she left i could just say "I'll see you in two months!" I can however no longer say that.

I have also beenup to see her familly in Oklahoma City, we stayed with her twin sister's boyfirend and also with her grandparents. I went to a huge college Football (american) game. However our team the Oklahoma Sooners were beaten for the first time in six years! I also went to the bombing memeorial and the Cowboy Hall of Fame. The area is beautiful but very very flat. Sarahs Grandparents also lived right off of Route 66 how cool is that?

So the last comment sucked, in New Jersey where is was,with some other counsellors, Sweedish Dave, Matt, Sam, Russell, Jooles, Adam, we went to the mall and hung out around NJ sampling local delicacies such as "Cluck U" a charming chiken wings restaurant! We also got fairly tipsy, blacking outingly so! It was fun however, we also met up with people from our camps corresponding girls camp, who knew me as "sunny, the guy who hooked up with rachel"! It was a fairly awkward time.

Then i Was in North Carolina and Virginia visiting Laura, I had a great time and i was in the south! It was very interesting and laura had a lovely familly, even though they were very republican! We helped lauras sister move appartments and then we visited lauras university town. It was nice and her university looks very cool and oldschool american which is like normal age Britain! After a few evenings there playing Kings! (so much fun)i journeyed back up to DC to stay with leah for a few more days, I am actually on my way there right now! It was good to be back in DC i love the city, could easily see myslef living there. I also got my ipod replaced as it was broken which was very cool! I visited the international spy museum and the Zoo where i saw a newborn Panda.

So a week ago today i flew down here to Texas Oklahoma and i have tod you about that above!

As i have said u am waiting for my plane back to DC it takes 3 hours so is not too bad! Tomorrow i will be greyhounding it up to New York! which is four hours on a bus but whenyou are going to NY i think i can manage it! In NY i am staying with Mariah and Mike. I will be doing all the sights! I cannot wait. Then on like tuesday or wednesday i am going to visit Cornell Uni, where my co counsellor is at, so that will be fun and will add to my University list. I will also be In NY for 9/11, so i think i will got to the memorial.

so if all goes well i will be back in around a week and a half. Not sure yet when i get into St Andrews, depends how much my mum wants to see of me!

Hey Guys,

So here I am, camp is over and I am finally on Holliday. No getting up at 7:45, to the reveille bugle, no kids screaming during meals and no more stupid ill animals!
Seriously though, camp was so much fun, it was a great experience and I made many good friends. I am hoping to go back next year!

I could tell you all many, many tales from camp, but I am sure you will not want to read them as all of them involve people you don’t know! Just wait till I am home, you can have all the fun of hearing them then! (Seriously it will be worse than Belgium and Japan stories!)

Right now I am in Virginia with Pookie, (Laura, a friend from hall). We are in Lexington which is where her university is, it is a lovely place. I have also been to her house in Hickory, North Carolina. That was lovely, and it is a very nice state!

Straight after camp I was at Russell’s house, with two other counsellors, we had a lot of fun and were very wasted sometimes! Although we had to make up two extra years of our lives as Russell told his parents that I was 21!

So from here I am heading back to see Leah in Washington DC on Sunday. On Tuesday I am off to see Sarah and the grassy knoll in Dallas Texas! We will also be going to Oklahoma City on Labour Day weekend.

After that I am going to return to dc for one night and then up to New York for the rest of my time, I should return sometime during freshers week!

Hey Guys,

How are we all? I am still having a great time at camp! We are in our last week of the first session and it had gone well. I am enjoying teaching human biology, it is very fun, we were dissecting frogs and tomorrow I think we will make a model of the lungs!

Today the kids all went on trips so we kind of had a day off! I slept for so long! It was great however we are back to the old ways tomorrow. I have a lovely day on Wednesday, I have a free first, then human bio, swimming and then cabin check which is basically a free then I have a free fifth!!!

I am now going to say hey to my awesome co counsellor Matt-Sizzle, this blog is for you, hope you are enjoying the lake right now! I hope stu comes back soon so we can join you!

In other exciting news I have bought my tickets to texas!!!! I cannot wait to go an see Sarah it will be so much fun, I think we will be attending a fat party it will be fun!

Hi Guys,

I thought it time for another post. Camp has been much the same recently, I have settled into the routine. The kids are all fine, the homesick one wrote home again saying that he wanted to die and was rotting away here. His mum was not pleased but he is just doing to try to get her to take him home. I just wish that he would get over it, cos I know that he would have a much better time and that I would not get called to the office every two days to speak to his mum!

Anyway yesterday I went to visit Leah in Washington DC with my day off group. We left camp at midnight on Wednesday and arrived almost five hours later at leahs It was weird seeing her in her home in Washington and not back in Scotland, but it was great to see her again. So on Thursday we went around the Mall where all the monuments are, it was spectacular. I know I am all anti bush/ America but it was so impressive and cool to be seeing these monuments that I have seen so many times on the TV.

In front of the whitehouse we were interviewed by a women from the Los Angeles times about our thoughts on the bombings in London, we had heard about them just before we left leahs.

Then after her work leah met us in the natural history museums I love those places they are so cool. We then decided to go to the capitol and see the senate it was very impressive too.

After that whistle stop tour we powered back up to camp and got in at 2 in the morning, I was indeed very tired but it was worth it, I really want to go back!

Hi Guys,

So I have been at camp with the campers for just over a week now and i thought that i should report. I have two frees today (independence day) cos no one turned up for frisbee!!

The kids all seem to be enjoying what they are doing, and are behaving really well for the most part. Only one case of homesickness but he seems to be coping with it. They all have there own wee idiosyncrasies, and they do mke the job fun.

I have been teaching swimming mostly this week, it is cool i get to swim everyday, and it is good to see the kids progressing. I have also been in arts and crafts and doing the ropes course, it is great to see the kids getting better and better there too.

On our first day off, last thursday, Three other counsellors Matt, David, tom and I took the staff car to Philadelphia. Not being able to drive i was the navigator and we got safely there and back. It was cool to be in an American city, we went and hung out in the mall and saw the liberty bell. Road trips are so much fun, even wehen the swede(david)tries to avoid the road and drive on the edge. We sped pass a grannie and honked the horn and waived at her, then five minutes later she did the same to us, It was sooooooo funny, we were laughing for ages.

That night we went to the local bar where loads of counsellors from around the area go, for the first time in ages there were girls to talk too!!! We had agreat time and the cranberry juice was delicious, going out without drinking was kind of refreshing.

Yesterday, there was a wide game; revolution. It is like capture the flag but in celebration of independence day pts the english against the americans the campers being split into either. Well guys Britain won, we got our colony back! And we did it wearing red too!!!!

Then we took the campers into the local town Honesdale, where we go to walmart, and we watched a fireworl display, it was quite good especially the finale. Then we looked at the one hot local girl and went home. I also had OD so i needed to stay up till 1.30 and check the cabins for disturbances.

Today we woke up to the national anthem, that ws weird but being independence day i frogive them.

Hi Guys,

Well right now we are just waiting for the kids to arrive. I have had a good first week in the US. When we got into New York, we went to Times Square; it was very overwhelming as it was in my 24th hour of travel! The next day we got the bus to camp, it was an interesting journey as the bus driver took lots of detours and was asking the passengers for directions.

The first few days at camp for me were the ropes course training. It was so much fun; I was climbing all day and going through the odyssey, which is a big obstacle course up in the air. We also went on the swing, where we get hoisted up to 30 feet and let go, very scary but very fun.

Then on Monday the other counsellors arrived and we started to get the camp ready, we moved boats, swept classrooms and developed our syllabuses. Yesterday the other two Nature people, Caitlin, Matt and I went to the creek to get some specimens for the fish tank, we caught frogs, tadpoles, snails and a rather big rock bass.

The Nature lodge, where I will be doing most of my teaching is really cool, we have two boa constrictors, two iguanas, an European legless lizard, Albino Californian king snake, Cockroaches a tortoise, three fish and some rats for the snakes. I am also going to help teach some xenobiology and the ropes course.

My kids names are;

In our free time we have been to walmart, so many cheap things, also I bought underwear and as you do you get one size smaller in America, even though I did this they were still bigger than my underwear back home, it was very strange.

We went to the local bar called crazy fingers, do not worry I did not partake in underage drinking! We had really amazing chicken wings, they were so good. Wings seem to be a big thing over here, people talk about them a lot!

Last night a few off us went to the lake, wallenpaupak, we had a few beers and met some girl counsellors from the girls camp which we are loosely associated with, Onika. It was nice just relaxing, but weird having to go and drink somewhere out of the way because it is illegal.
So I should signoff now and prepare for the kids to arrive. I hope that you are having a great summer, and I will write to you soon.

Hey Guys,

Well I am here in america. IT is realy cool we did times square the day we got in, the flight was so good too I love Virgin Atlantic!

We got to camp on friday, it is really nice, great scenery and nice and warm. Today we were doing the climbing wall, tower and a swing which started from 35feet in the air! The food has been good, right now all the counsellors which are here are just in the the first two cabins, the campers get here next week! That should be fun, so the american way is treating me well so far, i will update again soon, maybe when the kids get here or after my first trip to walmart.

Hi Guys,

So this is just a quick update to say goodbye to Y'all before I go. Tomorrow is the big leaving day, away for three months, the longest i have ever been away from home! I am sure that I will cope, I have packed and I think I have everything, if not I will have to walmart or Kmart it!

I hope I will be good with the kids and that we will get on fine!?!? That is the main worry and their safety too!

Anywho i must off and finish the packing

Hey Guys,

Sorry about the last blog, it was obviously very substandard! I felt that an angry tired dad was about to yell at me to get off the internet! So now I am going to start again with the update about my holiday.

I think however that I should start with my last few days at university; they were fairly upsetting, with everyone leaving. I also had a general apathy, something I am not used too; there had always been something for me to worry about! However in the last week I had nothing to worry about at all. Lawrence (my roommate) left on the Friday, although we had not always got along I will miss him, we did have many good times as well as bad times! This left me alone in our big room; it was even starting to smell like it had done on the first day, very unnerving, bringing back memories of freshers week.

The good parts of the week were when my laptop arrived, and it is amazing I love it, and also Friday night was amazing we all went to ma bells, (yes Alexander very yah but also very nice) there was great chat, some dancing many photos. We all then went back to Eden court to “help” Sarah pack. I did my part by going and getting some food from empire!

On my way to empire I was stopped by someone yelling at me asking what I was doing, I of course yelled back, fairly angrily that I was just leaving my house, the person yelling was in fact a plain clothed police officer, I apologised and went on my way. I reached then end of the lane and two other police officers came up and wanted I.D. I gave them all I had and they let me on my way, saying that I didn’t look much like a prowler. I concurred wholeheartedly as what prowler in their right mind would go about with headphones on and wearing flip-flops?

That morning we escorted Sarah to the union where she was catching her taxi, she left us a 4.30, twas not a happy time.

Then I got up again for breakfast and heavy packing! It was insane how much stuff that I had! It filled up the back of my dads car and the boot but we got it all home ok.
I also found out that I passed my exams, and got a 17!

So onto the first week of my holiday, I had a meal with the family on that Saturday night, it was very good nice home cooking again. Granny and Granddad left for England to visit the rest of the family and we were left with their dog Beth.
On Monday Stephen accompanied me into Stirling where I bought some walking boots for camp and Diablo 2 for my laptop. Stephen and I then had a diablo session which was very fun indeed; we got through the normal part! Stephen left on Tuesday evening and I decided to walk the dogs, while on the walk I met Michelle’s mum and found out Michelle had just gone to Spain for a few weeks, she will be back before I go though!

So Wednesday, no much happened likes, I got confirmation that I could go to my prize giving, and that’s about all. Dog walking continued.

Ok so yesterday I went to my prize giving for higher biotech, which I obtained the joint best grade with Leslie. It was a fun I brought Kristy along as my “mum” and received my prize, I got photographed and then we had our free lunch, which was reminiscent of hall food but was actually quite tasty. I met all the old biology teaching crew, it was great to see them again, I think I may also have been volunteered for giving a talk to some fifth years about why they should take biotech! -eep! They are also going to give me some help with selecting fun biology experiments for the kids at camp! After the lunch Kristy and I visited my granddads (the other one) stone in the grounds of the university, I have not been for like ten years and it felt good but upsetting to remember him.

Kristy then safely drove me home, and we, you guessed it walked the dogs! Woohoo yay dog walking rules!

So today, I visited the health centre to book my medical that I need for camp, then I walked the dogs and watched tv. Now you find me in my room on my bed doing a “Carrie” from “sex in the city” by writing this on my bed, sorry it is neither as interesting or risqué as her articles but what can I say I am not writer! My plans then for this Friday night, publish this on my blog and watch some good T.V. such as scrubs and will and grace, I may even have to dabble in the Big Brother, however that will not be classed as good television.

So guys I will update again soon, at least once more before I go to camp, Alex call me we can do lunch, Alasdair I will call you we will do lunch and shopping, I need some stuff for camp, it can be a precursor to man Mondays it has all the right ingredients, us and some ironic non manly activities!

Home, home, home,

well what can I say other than I am home, it has been ok no bad likes just really boring! We have grans dog for a week, and i have been walking the two dogs every day, even in the rain. Stv and I had a diablo fest very fun! And i had my biotech prizegiving today where was leslie?

Hiya Everybody,

Yay end of exams! Extreme amounts of joy and yayness! I mean look at me now, it is 10 on a Friday morning, I am not in class, I am not procrastinating, I am not worried about exams, I nothing anything! I am just mleh, and it is AWESOME!

So one year gone, one year that is a long time, I mean Dave does it not feel like it was only yesterday that you Sarah and I were dancing in my hall? I am one sixth of my way through my degree (well a third of the way through my first one)

What have I learnt?

(1) Do not, go out the night before a flight
(2) Remember peoples names
(3) Do not drink the day after giving blood
(4) Always dance! Everywhere!
(5) Do not worry too much

I have also of course learnt what was in my course but that is a given (hopefully)

So for today my main plan is to go to the post office, now it is a hard choice but should I do it before or after neighbours?

On a slightly sadder note today is Mariah’s last day in Scotland this is indeed a sad, sad day, as the founders of Albicans will be split up, one on each side of the Atlantic!
I may make her a going away card that would be fun. I think I may also start thinking of fun science experiments to do! The kids at camp will love that!

Greetings one and all!

Ok a fair bit has happened since my last post. Firstly we had the election, Yay for bloody nose to labour and increasing number of lib dem seats! I was also horrendously drunk that evening as we had a chelidh and drinking, stephen was here it was soo much fun. I even fell into the band!

The next night wehad the may ball! It was so good, 60 pounds to get in but it was amazing! There was free all you could drink, eat and great dancing (not that i did much) The band at the begining were really good and the rest were good too, slightly too dancy for my liking!
There were also dodgems and a spinny fair ride, did not spin, i hurl on spinny things when sober! Dodgems however were amazing, just a few hairy moments when my kilt could have been too revealing! Lucy and I found the wee bar and the wee, wee bar, we walked between chatting and drinking, it was fun. You can do so many things with a bag of ice!

So a week ago on saturday, recovering from the ball!

Last sunday, i went to and induction day for summer camp it was very informative and hyped me up for going, i then went home to study for the week.

So a week at home, it was good for studying and the first night guess hat was on....
Once more with feeling!!!! that made my day!!
I returned to st andys for wednesday to pactice my clinical skills and they seem to be fine, neurological tests are fun, maybe i could be that kind of Dr. I also found that mum had once of the signs that we have learned for upper motor neurone damage! I was very excited!

I returned to st andrews for the exams on friday and studied on two fo the nicest days.. grrrr!
So to today, i had my exam, it was not good and not bad, a bit mleh, i hope i have passed.

Not really a happy day due to the exam and the imminant end of the year and the departure of sarah and the other americans, Mariah leaves on friday!!!!!

I think that some of my music shall cheer me up, if not there is always finding nemo and that never, ever fails!!

Hi All,

So well this weekend has been interesting!

As many weekends do it started on firday. Friday was amazing only three hours of work, it was a briantly sunny day and I even met with Alexandra McN, we had a lovely lunch and caught up on our universtiy lives. Katy and I then went to see my friend Alasdair at the Byre theatre where he was in Screwtape Letters, he played the a devil, and was very convincing, stephen would have loved that play. I then went out with the crew to celebrate Hannahs birthday, this was fun. I met a girl and i started a relationship, which lasted about three days.. so realyy the most loongterm of my adult life, GO ME!

On saturday we all were hung over so talking and sleeping and water was had. I met up with the girl and we had tea and walked on the beach. I also went to see Hitchikers which although was not amazing as it should have been I still enjoyed it!

The next morning at four was the dip of may! It was so much fun, hundreds of people surging forth into the sea, freezing off genetalia and dipping under to celebrate the pagan fstival of lighting the beltaine fires and fertility. No virgins however were sent in the cave only to return when they had had their jollies, you know pagan festivals are not like they used to be!

I then ran home to get some rest and think things over and study and watch e4, I will leave you to decide which the the most important reasons for returning were!

Then today, I got wwritten on to show surface anatomy, and broke up with sed girl--- yay

Ahhh Mr. Collier was he not amazing?

So to carry on with the blogging, I was very heartened by the two comments that I received!
So to fill you in on my week, I had a nice weekend, I did not go out as I am trying to get a bit fitter for camp this summer, I have even started jogging in the mornings!

I had very good dinners on Saturday and Sunday; both times I cooked chicken korma for two different sets of people! I really enjoyed it and so did they! The week has been very sunny except for horrible Monday, which I shall not get into except that and umbrella fell apart and it took an hour to cash two checks!

The rest of the week has gone quickly with two photographs a medic one and a Hamilton hall one; I am not sure which I will buy.

Yesterday I also got my exam results I was very pleased with a 14 as I really hadn’t worked, and we need to get over an eleven to get into next year!

Right now I should be outside in the sun but I need to procrastinate as I have a talk on what is will happen to me when I get out of uni and get into hospitals! Very exciting and slightly terrifying!

Hi Everyone,

So yeah I am bad, I am sorry for my lack of blogging, although I do have to say that a lack of commenting on your parts have caused this downturn, it is a horrible cycle so I guess I should break it.

Ok my Easter; I feel that I should give you all a run through. It started off with a few nice days relaxing at home, on the first Monday David and Alex came over to my house and we played monopoly and just hung out it was fun just like old times. On Tuesday I went to London, as I have said in m previous bogs the reason for the trip was two fold, firstly to apply for my visa and secondly to see the sights of London. I arrived at Liverpool street station at three in the afternoon, Katie greeted me and then we decided to go and see the Tate modern. The Tate was very interesting, I have never experienced modern art before and I feel as though I can say that I enjoy it. There was an exhibition in the main hall which was just lots of speakers playing sounds of people whispering, the one we stood next to was saying something about death!!! Very scary indeed. We then went to Covent Garden and Leicester Square where we had dinner in wagamama; this is a chain of oriental fast food restaurants and was Super Oishii (super tasty).
The next day, I set of to London on my own with all the commuters as I had my visa appointment at 1030, I was cueing for an hour outside of the consulate, and then I had about three hours inside, so I was out by one with an approved visa!!!!
I then tubed my way to meet Katie back in Covent Garden; weird thing is we got on the same carriage on the tube oooooooo, quite freaky. We went to Leicester Square where we bought tickets for the lion king musical, that afternoon we did many sites in London, including Buckingham palace and nelsons column!!!! That evening we went to wagamama again, and proceeded to the musical. It was amazing, the best show that I have ever seen! The next day I slept in and was driven to the airport by Katies mum, I flew home and my adventure was over.

I was at home for a few more days; these were uneventful, the next Tuesday however Mariah came to stay for a few days. Much walking of the dog was had and much studying was also had. I even introduced her to donkey konga!

On the last Friday we went to Stirling to shop for the mum and then went up to see Stirling castle where we had a meal in a bar and biff was there, no conversation was had however!!! That evening we went go carting with you guys I was crap btw. We then proceeded to the goose and I drank and we ended up back at bobs; it was a good time it was just like back in the day!

Ok so then I got back to uni, had a bad test but a good work full rest of the week! I had a nice weekend and a good medic outing last night!

Hi Guys,

How are we all doing, looking forward to easter vacation?

Well since i last updated nothing much has happened. (Wow that opening line is really enticing) I was out at the netball ball on friday, it was ok i did not know many people there, but when people that i did know came along then it was really good. I then went to the union, which was really fun, many people bought me drinks and i did not spend a thing! I tea and toasted at St Salvators annexe with two medics called, joanne and claire. The tea and toast were well good, i did however meet a guy called ed who was pulling the door frame! i mean wtf. I also bought The Incredibles which is amazing, i love that film Mr. Skiperdoo is sooo funny!

On saturday i libraried and went to the beach twice, once for a romantic walk with lex, he unfortunately did not put out lol!

Today i just nothinged studied a bit read and played my DS. I ha a mel with my flat mates where we named the rooms, Guinevier, Bill and Ben(one person gets two small rooms), Fred and Ariel. I got guinevier which is the turret room!!!!! I am happy with the results.

I have a wee test on wednesday it means nothing but it is always good to at least pass so i shall be studying.

Thats about it, hope that we can meet up in the hollidays.

Hey Guys,

I felt as though i should burden you all with another post. It is an amazing day here in st andrews and i am just about to go and study in the sun maybe in St. Marys quad, I think it will be fun. Although i would get much more done in the library.

Well today i had a presentation which went swimmingly and was actually quite fun, i then went to practise my clinical skills and i did them all fine too, i find that part of the course really interesting and it is the most fun.

To fill you in on my easter i am travelling to London to get my visa for america, while i am there i am catching a musical we are nto sure which one yet. I am then bck home where i am going to be tutoring someone in biology. Mariah one of the jsa's is coming to stay for a week at that time also and i will be howing her some of our wonderful part of scotland. I should also study as i have midterm the first day back ---- eeep

Hey Everyone,

Since my last blog I managed to turn nineteen, woohoo for me as I can so much more now I am nineteen, yeah not so much.

So i had a nice birthday, my friends saw how much i liked the lego that i got alex so they bought me some!!!! I also got some chocolates and a cool wee elephant which is so soft!!!! Claire bought em sushi and katie bought me a japanese food recipie book, Okinomiyaki here i come.

So in other crappier news my card was like stolen, and some bastards proceeded to buy many things with my money, i was not impressed. I phoned the bank though and they have stopped my card, and i do not have to pay for that money. It is worrying however i didnt think that would happen in st andrews.

I plan to go to london at easter, to navigate the innards of the american embassy and get my J1 visa which will allow me to go to camp!!!!! I hope it is all ok and goes smoothly i also get to have fun in london for a few days!

So i need to be off to luncheon see you later

Hey Guys,

The urge to blog has struck me down again, so here it goes!

So when I last blogged I was alone and bored on a saturday night, well about five minutes after i blogged that all chnged, my flatmate for next year invited me out with her and a friend to go and see "Million Dollar Baby". This was an excellent and thought provoking film, it was not the cheeriest of filmes either, but it did touch on some of the ethics i have been learning in my course, it was so sad even i cried a little bit.

So that left me on a saturday night, alone and upset but i had enjoyed the film and at least i had not been on my pc the whole night. The next day i got up and went to breakfast, Lawrence my "odourless" roomate had not got back again woot!!! this allowed me to have music on and turn the lights on! It was a brilliantly sunny day outside, ncie and warm too. This encouraged me to go for a walk on the end of then beach again, this time accompanied by Mariah and Erica. We made a tree in the sand and jumped on log and kicked a football about. We made it back in time for lunch which for once was actually good, roast beef and yorkshire pudding. Shortly after, getting back from luch katie called and invited me to go swimming with her, she has a car so we got there so fast, i also picked up my ball band for the ball that night. We did forty lengths and then left so that i could watch the O.C. (which was amazing again).

Afterwards i wrote up a few lectures notes to try and keep up to date, sooooooo didnt work. The time then arrived when i had to prepare for the ball. I had a shower and shaved and drank a bottle of wine, it was called New Hall which was befitting as i was going to The New Hall Ball!!!!!

Katie arrived to picke me up, we then picked up Claire and Grant and I was on my way to my fifth Ceilidh in two weeks!!!

This was quite fun but extortionate and the wine wore off at nine. They had nice crepes and the chelidh and disco were fun. I also got married to two guys and five girls, it seems that polygamy is fun!

We left the ball at midnight as we were all knackered! I had a good nights sleep!

Ok so this morning i was soo tired, but i made it to breakfast and lectures. I then had to go and get X-rayed, to check that i do not have TB, now it was quite interesting, i overheard some strife with the staff but they the sai2but we have a patient in so we cannot talk like this" which was funny. My chest cells where then energised with radiation and i toddled off to get a scone and cranbveryy juice and do some work. I finished the rest of the dy with lectures, and thats it!

Hi Guys,

Well I am bored and I have no money to go out tonight, so i thouhg that I should update. It was good to hear from you bob, but a bit upsetting to see that you are not enjoying your course.

Well I have not been up to may things since I last Blogged, i did a wee bit of work and attended all of my lectures, except the Behavioural Sciences one which is just a whole pile of crap. I enjoyed dissection yesterday, it was the forearm which was very interesting. I also helped set up the hall for our ball.

The Ball was amazing, all my friends from hall were there and one of my flatmates Katy came as my date as she missed her hall ball. There was a champagne reception, dinner, free icecream, rock band, cheilidh and disco all of which was fun! The drinks were also all only one pound each! All the girlls looked stunning too. Much fun was had at the disco i have to admit that B52's love shack is excellent to dance too.

This morning I slept in untill ten becasue we had brunch, which was very enjoyable. After lunch Mariah and I went for a walk on West Sands beach, all the way to the estuary of the rivere Eden. It is about a three mile walk I think but with a really strong head wind and dancing it took about two hours. The walk back was only forty five minutes.

I had some really nice pasta and pesto for tea followed by a bowl of muesli and soya milk which was actually tasty!

I am going to go and do some work now because I am off the New Hall ball tomorrow which is at the St Andrews Bay Hotel again it should be really fun too!

I am wsting time before i have to go and get my third and final Hepatitis B injection, it was canselled last week cos the people where snowed in. I may also get a mumps vaccination as well because lets face it no one wants swollen testes!

I have just had my hair cut by John the Barber after being berated by my whole familly when i went home for my dads birthday.

I have found that i have entered the coffee culture extremely over the last week, today i sampled the fine coffee of the Vic cafe, i had only been in there on boozeday tuesday and didnt even know it was a café, i was fairly impressed and it was soo much more inexpensive than beanscene (but beansecene is really cool)

I think that hamilton as a whole like coffee a bit too much as there was great excitement today when the Coffee machine was left on at lunchtime, i found myself caught up in the excitement and had 2 cups of Espressochoc it was tasty, we also had danishes for desert and they were amazing!

It is really snowy here in St Andys but since we are so close to the sea then it never lies for long which is not skinny! I may be going to see lord of the flies next week as my friend james is in it, plus you get a free pig key chain with every ticket, i think meerly for the pig that it is worth it! However i may need to find my keys first.

yeah so its me....

Hey Guys, how are we all? I am doing fairly well, i am however tired and that is weird because i had an early night anyway.

OK so quite a bit has happened since last time i updated!

firstly a week ago last friday, i ventured home to say hi to the folks and pick up a Dinner Jacket for a crazy weekend of partying. I left for home that night but found the bus had broken down! (shock,horror) however my wonderful father drove back to St Andrews. I was glad to be back because i had the best night out in St Andrews so far. There was a bindi (indian music) evening at the Westport a very posh pub. It was amazing i loved the music bhangra iis very good, there was even a live drummer. Ed a bloke in my group and michelle a girl in my group bought me drinks. I am back on the tequilla! dancing was fun all my friends were there it was just really good. there was not much smoke either!

Ok so i got up the next morning ready to study a little and go to a chelidh that evening. I donned my DJ as requested by sarah as she hadnt seen me in a kilt and wanted to see me suited. That was a good night too i didnt drink because i was saving money for alexs ball the next day. I danced with kirsty from hall which was good cos she knew how and i even taught the americans to dance woohoo!

So yeah sundays are amazing breafast is soo good and then the oc is on which is amazing because i love the new girl lindsay! Kirsty then came over and we cooked scones so she can tempt people into christianity i didnt believe in the cause but i like baking!

That night there was the amazing Mc Intosh ball, i met up with steve and lex before hand and had subway! I attended the happy birthday mary party before hand and then accopanied my date (in a friend way, sort of like alex and steve but without the obvious sexual tension) At the ball dancing was had to jazz, chelidh and then to disco. i eve taught sonia how to cha cha! Sonia and I (steve sometimes) did tequilla shots every hour on the hour and i had an extortionate-burger.

So then the week began, it was very busy and i got bad eczema- not good at all! I saw the doctor and five different creams have sorted it out! i am the moisturising king! I attended another chelidh on thursday which was again awesome because i got to dance with our kirsty, and we like won the whole chelidh!! also picking up michelle while polkaing was good! So now i am no to last friday and a three legged pubcrawl, i thouroughly enjoyed this and got rather tipsy. Emily and I tried novel ways of begging such as "Give us money or we will give you breast cancer" or to guys "donate money for breasts" we did not win but we had a good time.

it was then out to a pub to celebrate claire's (the girl who was in belgium with me) birthday, we had a good time and ended up back where the pubcrawl finished so i was with more friends and good banter was had by all. My saturday night sucked i made a crane for irish clare and went to bed!

today the oc rocked and i got work done!

sorry for this uber of uberblogs but i felt like i needed to keep people yup to date!
i am off home tomorrow as its dads bday on tuesday i am staying over to celebrate on tuesday cos i need to be back here to sign the contract for our appartment. Oh which i have more news, the guy i was sharing with, jeff dropped out so now i am living with three girls Katy, Mairi and Hannah. i have slight trepedations about this so alasdair is coming over on "Man Mondays" where we are going to watch The OC and Desperate Housewives to be ironic and not maly at all!

Hey all,

Well i am updating now as I turned up for my clinical session an hour early! I can not be bothered to go home! I dropped of my samples t the lab 1.7L can you believe i was very proud. Apart from that not much has happened down here in St Andrews. I have heard of Alex's stunningly beautiful date and i cannot wait to see him! (i am not being mean its just his date is steve isnt it?)

So yeah thats probably all,... I did get ID'd last night which was very embarrasing because i look so young. But i did see william again he was in our local (where i ws idd), we then went home and the girls watched his security car waiting can anyone say stalker?

Well after our HEAF have been checked and it says that i do not have TB (hopefully i dont for like all the people on the plane) I will be off to show Mariah the sights of St Andrews!

How are we? I wecome you to my world of procrastination! I am meant to be moving on through the course writing notes but i am not having so much luck with that yet!

I also have some good news, Our flat situation is sorted out. Myself, Jeff, Mairi and Katy are indeed moving to 20 Queens Terrace as of next september! I love the flat it is really cool and my room and the TV room have a turret! I also received my urine containers today, for the experiment that i am participating in. That was really just news not happy news.

I have gotten over my jet lag which is good, i was not a very sociable person my first few days back. I was also in the mourning process for my holliday i am always unhappy when i get back even though i can see my familly and friends sometimes you just have to realise st andrews sucks, or well most places suck compared to hollidays! but i think i have gotten back into the st andrews way!

I almost bumped into prince william today i think!! that would not have been cool knocking him down in my clumsy way.

I need some help with costuming, my ball is coming up and it is themed 1920s and i dunno what to do. Katy says that i should wear my kilt so how do i make it 20s? Any suggestions would be welcome.

This evening two girls in my group and I are going to interview a familly about their health. I hope this goes well and i dont cock it up. They live pretty far out into the cold St Andrews night too which is not skinny.

so guys thats about all i think, again i hope that we are all having a spiffing time in our various universitys.

Have we al ha a nice week? I have been catching up with work that i missed and catching up with my sleep! I have some good neews though. I am going to be on a reasearch team in uni. which is going to be fighting reaearching ways to fight cancer! You never know i may yet cure it this year! I have also been put forward to go on a scholarship for a week to germany for a week. Here i will see Drs working at the forefront of science which will be very interesting. However there may be a slight problem in that camp may clash.. i hope it doesn't. Any way i am about to go for a meal with my parents.

Hi All,

So yeah i made it home with no problems (this time). I found this very heartening. IN other sandy related news, I have got a place to be a counsellor at Science camp Watonka in Pennsylvania this summer. It is 2 hours drive from New York which is really cool. I am also down for the ropes course instructing course so i think i am going to teach that which is really cool too. My course has become hardcore so i feel really far behind already and so now i am off to learn the stuff so i dont seem like a retard tomorrow in Dissection. I hope that you guys are all well and are having lots of fun at uni!

yeah so when i joked about getting wasted and missing the plane, well it was supposed to happen! Rory and i had a very good night out, in fact some may say a little bit too good!!

So yeah i am still in japan with far less money than i had this time yesterday! I am trying to look on it as a funny story but sometimes i just wanna cry!

emm yeah so i fly back on tuesday which gives me two more days here and that is good. ohh an in other news i passed my exams woohoo! that has cheered me up.

Japanese All-Girl Musical.......... WTF?!!!!

hey all,

well i am back in ginza in the apple store awaitng fukuhisa again. She has just sent me to see a japanese all girl musical i swear i was really in an episode of sailor moon for three hours. The first part had a story line, which not knowing much japanese i didnt have a clue about. Although the story was set on earth and it was modern so that was fine if a tad boring. The Insaneness came from the second half it had everything one would want. Raven people, Gay soulsucking vampires (actually i am not sure if the vampire was gay its just that all the girls who were dressed as guys looked like the girls dressed as girls... very confusing) Then all of a sudden chamelon the song came on!? WTF why was that in the Dream Kingdom. There were also girls with pringle shaped skirts, about a dozen parts based on Tuxedo Mask. I have also learned that the more one looks like a peacock the more important one is in the play. Also quite a bit of it looked as if it were an opening scene from some 1970s space adventure type thing. There were girls from hell too and eveyone kept dyeing then coming back to life. Finally there was an all female choreographed future samurai showdown cos i mean it would have sucked without it lol. I cannot even begin to explain the music but think along the lines of 1970s disco/80s rock synthesiserness/opera/classical music. And finally out of a whole audience capacity of 2000 (some people even stood through the whole thing) i was the only guy, no joke. Thats like 1999 girls to 1 guy which was just going too far!!!!! not that i am complaining. I would like to see such a thing again tho just for the mind freakyness.

so i need to go and meet the wee japanese lady on in the sony building now, i hope we dont stand listening to classical music again for half an hour on one of those cd players in the foyer!!!!

p.s. ro and i are still going to be very drunk very soon so yayayayayayay

Hey Guys!

i hope i find you all well and in tip top spirits!!!

I am writing to you this blog from the fourth floor of the Apple store`s free internet cafe, on the fourth floor of the building in Tokyo,s most exclusive area Ginza!!!!!! it is very exciting. Since i last talked to you i have travelled to Fujiyama san and Onsened in the hakone area. The mountain was good and the onsening, well lets just say both me and the three old japanese guys minds were broadened lol!!!

Mrs. fukuhisa our turguide from last year took me and today she has taken me to a traditional japanese play called kabuki, it was fairly enjoyable and i think tonight she is taking me out for tea. She is also going to take rory and i out on friday which is again very nice.

Ro and I plan to go out on friday night to the student area of Shibuya, for clubbing and such fun. I hope it will be better then Roppongi even tho that was also an enjoyable night. I wanna make it an all nighter so that i will sleep for ages on the plane in a hungover tired stupor, well that tactic wworked from singapore. So if i miss the plane it sucks to be me!!!!!

Being in this store makes me wanna buy some Isocks for my Ipod they are very kool but about 15 pounds which is not skinny. I also wanna buy a case for both my ipod and my Nintendo DS, which i think i can stretch too.

What have all of you been up too anything to broaden ones horizons? or just having fun i would love to hear!!!!!!

so i shall try to come and visit you all this semester (that is if i have any money left after this trip!!!!!)

how are we all? i hope that st andrews people are having a good break and the rest of you are having fun anyways!! I am writing to you from an internet cafe, in rory`s home part of tokyo, Oji　（おおじ）i　have been here for a week and i am having lots of fun. Last week was spent traveling all over tokyo and seeing the sights. On the day i arrived Rory, his flatmate Adam, their friend who teaches in south Korea, Liam, and i went out clubbing in roppongi, it was soooooo much fun! (a tad expensive but it was well good) that was after 40 hours of travel (stupid franfurt), we then slept all　day saturday.

I travelled up to kunohe 九戸 on the shinkansen, and saw my homestay familly and friends.

anywho i am going now so i will see you all when i return!!!!

Hey all,

Well since i lst blogged i have been home twice and to edinburgh once. The homeness was caused by certain members of the school not writing refernces for me so i had to go two times this week. However i was able to introduce my american freind jeff to home, my familly and bad british christmas song videos!!

Edinburgh was good, i was there for a BUNAC Summer Camp USA interview which went well and the intrviewer said that he would be surprised if i didnt get a place, hopefully he wasnt just trying to make me feel good! I then spent a few hours in edinburgh shopping and going around the Scottsh national museum, the natural history parts as always were so cool, pictures of elephants and so on to follow soon!

Hiya Everybody,

How are we all? I am in a spiffing mood for many reasons primarily i passed my exmas i got a 17 out of 20 for my written part which is good in our kraxy st andrews skewed grading system and i got a 12 for multiple choice which is not as good but above the eleven which they wanted us to be yay!!!!

Secondly i survived and had a really good raisin weekend (for a description of this festival go to lex's blog) My mothers party was school themed she was the teacher and her children the pupils, We were not allowed to talk during class with a punishment of ttaking a shot of vodka as a consequence. We then played subject related games like "fuzz buzz" for maths and "duck fuzzy" for english. We also had biology class where we had to choose and demonstrate 5 sexual positions with our academic siblings. Simone and i won yay!!!

I then moved on to my fathers house which was also really good and saw me changing my clothes with my academic sisters on my dads side! (one of my sisters is michelles size!) we then had to take body shots off eachother and we had a boat race(chugging pints of some alcohol and mixer against another group of people) which the kids won woo hoo!!! We then had to do the stairs challenge! Here we had to take a shot of archers then run up the stairs chug a pint of beer whilst watching porn and then (ahhh scary dimitri just walked past the window) we had toslide down the stairs on our stomachs! We then just patied and drank more untill i went home and herded bekka back into the house from outside where i had to chase her up and down the street!

The next morning my fathers (sanjay and becks(dont ask)) had a champagne breakfast on the beach at sunrise which was really cool we also got to drive golf balls into the sea! I proceded to mums where she dressed up her children as a school bus!!! we were all tied together and we had to hold on to the bus and sing bus songs as we walked up to the foam fight.

The foam fight was total carnage and soo much fun i met alex mc nicol as she plastered foam all over my face and as lex said it is so sticky and eugh!! (oops that sounds bad...)
After the fight we had to go straight to lectures which was funny seeing the leacture theatre covered in foam. I was sitting next to the colour orange from the rainbow and a flower!

so how are we? i have fully recovered from that disease which i had dunno what it was. Three solid days of sky tv did the trick i love tv!! Stv it was the willow go crazy episodes that i saw with "fly my pretties" and "see what i did there moment" it was very funny!!!!

So what have we all been up too? anything which has skinny or scandal or both i have not. I am right now listening to the buffy musical cd which rocks i love it soo much. I went out for tea and had the most embarrasing meal ever first by knocking stuff over and then like saying no at people and it was just soooo embarasing!

Hiya Evrybody,

well i think my exam was ok.... but i am still worried as it was the first uni exam that i have had and as usual i made many silly mistakes. I was also very ill so that didnt really help.
We had a lecture after our exam which was just not skinny it was very lean!!!!

i am having a revision session with a fellow medic for our practicle exam tomorrw which we both think will be ok. There is just a lot of anatomy and histology to learn. I also found that my exams are on the 12th and 14th of january which gives me three weeks of nothing before the second semester starts!!!!

well i hope i find you al in good health and what not! It has been a dreich dreich day and its already dark (s.a.d. here i come!)

thanks for starting to read again i am now really enjoying blogging. Hopefully i am going to a sushi party in galsgow on saturday and i am going to help teach origami on thursday both with the japanese society i thinkk it will be sooo much fun!!!!!

Hiya Everybody!

Its me i know shock horror i have updated but procrastination can drive one to do anything!!!
How are we all? (btw that is a social cue for you to start commenting)
Well i am fine, i am loving uni and medicine its really interesting even though it is quite hard! I should right now be revising as i ahve a test on monday which is worth 25% of my semster grade. As usual i am freking out inside and i have started to break out in exczema! yay i can cope so well. I have been trying to follow lexs idea of relaxing and i am getting better i think.

At uni i am still playing the tuba (p.s. dont tell long john mc gon that i have the tuba) I joined karate butit was different form what i am used to and i didnt like it so i never went back. I swim twice a wee or three times if the pool was not still broken! grr. So i dont do as much as i did at school because they all clash but the finl thing i have joined is the japanese society which i very good as japanese people cook food and i can practice speaking the old Nihongo.

I have applied to Summer Camp USA to become a consellor which i really hope i get to do so i can have a great summer in the USA and get payed. I also get six weeks traveling time around the US so that i can visit my american friends! In St andrews there are so many americans and they all do IR i found it strange not hearing american accents when i went home!

Any way i had better get down to revision, but ONE MORE THING! (ahh uncle) i made a nmonic (sorry bout the spelling) yesterday to learn i am very proud of it! It goes a little something like this:

Welcome to my new blog (well new colour scheme) i was trying to go for biology boy/ eatrh father type thing with all the green (steve feel free to criticise as you always do i value your input strangely). I alos achieved new heights in computer literacy as i managed to put the comments on yay!

so it was the last episode of friends last night boo hoo it was funny and quite a little bit predictable which has been the trademark of the last few series.

So big brother started yay! i dont think and what good representation of scotland an arrogant guy in a thong! even with all the new "evilness" i still think it will be really boring.

Alexs cd is gonna be amazing and i am not just being the biggest sycophant the songs sound amazing but dont forget daves eitherthat too will be amazing.

Hi All

I hope you like my new colour i was going for a biology boy/ earth mother theme which i think i have pulled off (steve fell free to criticise i no u love too) I am also quite proud that i managed to get the comments on my blog myself its quite a step up for my compu-literacy yay!!!

So anyway today i had my paper round i got my new passport in the post which i quite kool. All i really did today was revise for advanced higher chemistry and i too hate infra red spectroscopy ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Yesterday was the last ever episode of friends which was quite funny and yet somewhat predicatable the trademarks of the last series. Then there was big brother....
what a great representation of scotland (not) by that thong guy and they r so obviously just put in for conflicts. It still will be just one big holiday tho yawn

Hey everyone

this is (frustratingly) the third time i have written my blog in the last two days, which as most of you know is hard for me as i normaly cant be bothered (oh yuk how buletish did that sound)

Anyway i just had my tuba lesson playing Ground FAorce again where my tuba teacher talked about the "Dimmock two" and when by chance i had gotten on the topic of belgium (yes you can all slag me off) he mentioned "belgian porn" i am now scared of my teacher quite a wee bit.

well i will just finish now i had much more to say but michelle needs to come on the pc so i will cya later.

Hey Everyone

Saturday was fun woo mc hoo!!!! i went walking with my schoolchums, up a hill it was very warm sunny and a good time was had. This was followed by a surprise trip to the cinema and pizza hut (sorry sarah) which was also very enjoyable.

I have however made a scary realisation....

i am almost exactley like Kate winslet In Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,

Hey Hey people sorry i have not blogged in ages!!!!!

as many people have been nagging me to return to my blogging ways i beleive now is the right time to do it.
Well lets see since last time i have been on core camp... All i can say really is that i enjoyed it a lot infact it was amazing although i did break my phone. This was soon fixed however as i started my ebay life and picked up a nice colour one for a decent price.
i went to st-a to visit my uni (if i get my conditions) and it was really good i cant wait to go yay!!!

we had the informal photo today hawaii it was quite good and surprisingly warm

since i last blogged to the masses i have purchased Finding Nemo the most rocking film ever and thanx go to the leslo anne for helping me buy it cheaply. My favourite character is crush beacause a surf dude turtle just rocks you cannot deny it. However i have to say that Dory speaking whale also is awesome.

I have been busy with my chemistry project and its going well and surprisingly irn bru does actually have iron in it. I have just finished my report for Beckster yay at last and i am off to do my biotech work.

It is now a week till i am 18 and to celebrate i am having a ceilidh its gonna be awesome it is 8 pounds a ticket but it is for a good cause (rory going to japan for a year) and the drink is very very cheap i am informed. any i may see you there i will stop my blog here cos certain monkeys of the rasta type among you have been saying that my blogs are too long so cheerio.

Today is a yay blog (not a gay blog a yay blog) because i just got promoted to seargent-hence the yay and maybee a whoo-hoo too. No in response to an email from a certain piece of scottish flora (thats right u guessed it HEATHER) I will try and implement the alexander robertson blog progress bill passed today in commons and set up a comments page where u can basically slag me off and leave a sudoname. So tell me again why should i do this? but to tell me that you would nedd the comments bit so i have ended up in the catch 22 thingy i think. Hi everyone
This is the blog of me Sandy Robertson, i know that the only people that read this will be my friends who will mostly be reading this and for that i thank them but incase i dont know you this was just a wee intro. I will just probably be writing about what has happened to me lately so i will give you a run down of my day soo far (sorry if it is boring but im at skool so what can you say). Today began with a phone call from kirsty lamony(her real name is lamont ill tell uthe lamony story l8r) she conscripted me to do swimming duty which i kindly agreed to. That was at eight so i got dressed and showered quickly in time to leave form school. 02 sent me a top up card which was nice too.
School started of the usual way saw alex in regge, everyone went to assembly (yay)((not)).
I then had to set up the junior science fair for biotech then did gramm staining in biology i had a free when o'reagen jim and i wentdown town and got chased by lummy. I then had Chemistry which i am really ebjoing at the moment cos i got my project which will be fun i think. I then went swimming with preps and went to work and came home. Yay the day was over.

So that was my day i promise ill stopp these accounts cos it is quite boring i just need to come up with stuff. I f any one wants to write to me togistar@hotmail.com then please do especially if u have something u want to add to alexs a-z. (i need a lot of help).

Thats about all for my blog today except to say that my birthday chelidh is on the 13th of march and you can all come along the tickets are 8 pounds but im paying for some, so come along it will be fun and there is food too, plus my informants tell me tht the drink is cheap.
